A Lifelong Love for Animals
Hi! My name is Linda, and I’m the founder and creator of Dubdog Designs.
My love for animals goes back as far as I can remember. As a child, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian someday. As I got older, though, I discovered another passion: art and design.
I was drawn to anything that gave me the opportunity to be creative, and that passion eventually led me to a career in advertising and design.
For nearly 20 years, I worked as a graphic designer, art director, and creative director. I loved being creative for a living, but there was always a little voice reminding me that I still had another passion I wanted to pursue—animals.
I just needed to figure out how to bring the two together.
Then Came Katie
In April 2009, everything clicked.
I designed a fun, colorful collar and leash set as a birthday gift for my friend’s dog, Katie.
And I was hooked!
That simple birthday gift sparked the idea that would eventually become Dubdog Designs. I had finally found a way to combine two things I loved: creative design and animals.
Dog Gear With Personality
When I started Dubdog, I knew how difficult it could be to find dog collars and leashes with as much personality as the dogs wearing them.
Dogs aren't one-size-fits-all when it comes to personality, so why should their style be?
Some pups are bold. Some are sweet. Some are goofy. Some want to be the center of attention everywhere they go. And some somehow manage to be all of the above.
That’s why Dubdog is all about creating fun, colorful dog gear that lets your pup's individual personality shine—whether they're big, small, or somewhere in between.
From One Collar to Dubdog Today
What started with a collar and leash for Katie has grown into a collection of collars, leashes, bandanas, bow ties, felt flowers, and other accessories created for dogs and the people who love them.
More than 15 years later, creativity is still at the heart of Dubdog.
We love playing with colors, discovering new patterns, creating new designs, and imagining all the different pups who will eventually wear them.
Most of all, we love knowing that something we created gets to become a small part of your dog's everyday adventures.
